Due in part to your generous donation to the Jon Fenlon Foundation Golf Outing & Banquet, we were able to raise $7,000! Our 2022 event held, at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center in Clarkston, was again, a success.

The money raised was given to the Beaumont Children’s Hospital’s Student Heart Check in partnership with 97.1 The Ticket.

At the Jon Fenlon Foundation, it was important to us that we kept the proceeds of our efforts local to our community here in southeast Michigan. The two charities that we have chosen to support with our donations is the Beaumont Student Heart Check Fund in partnership with 97.1 The Ticket radio station. While there are many fine charities that we could have affiliated ourselves with, we are very happy to be working with Beaumont Hospitals Healthy Heart Check Program.

The Student Heart Check Fund through William Beaumont Hospital in partnership with 97.1 The Ticket provides heart screenings for students to test whether their heart is strong enough to play sports. The screenings test for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), which is a disease of the heart muscle where it loses the ability to pump blood effectively. The Heart Check Fund provides testing above and beyond the standard sports physical to make sure that they are safe to engage in physical sports activities. In short, this program saves lives.

We, at the Jon Fenlon Foundation, have experienced firsthand, the devastation of losing our friend and family member, Jonathan. We hope that through the donation that we are able to provide, what we can to help other families avoid this terrible tragedy. We are proud of what we have accomplished over the last few years, and look forward to continuing to work with this charity to help our communities. We would like to thank our patrons and sponsors for their support over the years, so that we can carry on the legacy of our friend, Jon. We hope that through our donation to this fine organization that we are helping to improve the lives of others in our community.
